I have worked with Wixárika speakers in Nayarit, visiting several communities: Potrero de la Palmita (2018), Cerro del Tigre, Mesa de Chapalilla and Guadalupe Ocotán where I have spent most time (between 2024 and 2026). For Wixárika most of my work has been documentation of lexicon and traditional narrative – but this also requires acquiring a general understanding of the language’s grammar.
